LipLab Lipstick-Making Workshop – Terms, Inclusions and Cancellation Policy

Included in the Lipstick-Making Workshop

During the workshop, each participant will make one (1) lipstick using our natural lipstick base, cosmetic colour pigments, and specialised equipment.

We provide all materials and tools required for the workshop.

The session typically lasts approximately 2 hours:

  • During the first hour, participants mix their lipstick colour and pour the mixture into the lipstick moulds.
  • The lipsticks are then placed in the freezer for approximately 30 minutes, which serves as a break or meal break.
  • The final part of the workshop involves demoulding the lipstick and transferring it into the lipstick tube.

Excluded from the Lipstick-Making Workshop

Any drinks or menu items ordered from the venue are for your own account and are not included in the workshop ticket.

Terms and Conditions

Allergies

Participants with allergies to mica, nuts, or beeswax products unfortunately cannot attend the workshop.

Changes to Attendance

Any changes to attendance must be communicated directly to the organisers via email or WhatsApp.

Participant Responsibility

Participants are responsible for their own safety and wellbeing during the workshop and must follow all instructions provided by the organisers.

The organisers accept no liability for any injuries, damages, losses, theft, robbery, or any criminal activity that may occur during the event.

Behaviour

Any disruptive behaviour that negatively affects the experience or safety of other participants will not be tolerated. The organisers reserve the right to remove such participants from the event without a refund.

Nature of the Workshop

The LipLab workshop is designed as a fun creative experience and is not intended as training for starting a commercial lipstick business.

Cancellation and Booking Policy

Due to the small-group nature of our workshops and the preparation required for each participant, our cancellation policy is strictly enforced.

In order to proceed, each workshop requires a minimum of booked participants – specified on each event page (description section).

In accordance with the Consumer Protection Act (CPA), customers may cancel their booking subject to a reasonable cancellation fee.

The following cancellation terms apply:

  • 15 days or more before the event: a 50% cancellation fee will apply to cover preparation and administrative costs.
  • Less than 15 days before the event: bookings are non-refundable.

At the organisers’ discretion, a booking may be transferred to a future workshop date if a valid reason is provided. Any price difference between the original booking and the rescheduled workshop will be payable.

No-Shows and Same-Day Cancellations

Due to the limited seating and the preparation required for each participant, the following conditions apply.

No-shows and cancellations on the day of the workshop are strictly non-refundable and cannot be transferred or rescheduled.

Each participant’s seat requires advance preparation of materials, equipment, staffing, and venue allocation. If a participant does not attend, the reserved seat cannot usually be filled at short notice and therefore the booking remains payable in full.

If a participant has already cancelled and rescheduled their booking once, any further cancellation will result in the booking being forfeited, with no refund or transfer permitted.

Unforeseen Circumstances

We understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise, including illness, medical procedures, family emergencies, work commitments, or travel disruptions.

However, as materials, staffing, and venue arrangements are prepared specifically for each confirmed participant, these circumstances unfortunately do not qualify for refunds, transfers, or rescheduling.

Participants who are unable to attend may transfer their ticket to another person, provided the organisers are notified before the workshop begins.

Seat Reservation and Payment Policy

By purchasing a ticket, you are reserving one of a limited number of seats at the LipLab lipstick-making workshop.

Each booking requires advance preparation of materials, ingredients, equipment, staffing, and venue capacity specifically for the number of confirmed participants. Your payment therefore secures a reserved seat at the event, rather than simply purchasing a ticket.

Once a booking is confirmed, the seat is removed from public sale and may prevent another participant from attending if cancelled at short notice.

For this reason:

  • Tickets are non-refundable within 15 days of the workshop date.
  • No-shows or same-day cancellations are strictly non-refundable and cannot be rescheduled.
  • Participants who cannot attend may transfer their ticket to another person, provided the organisers are notified before the workshop begins.
  • If a participant has already been granted one transfer or rescheduling, any further cancellation will result in the booking being forfeited.

By completing your booking, you acknowledge that the LipLab workshop is a limited-capacity event with advance preparation requirements, and that your seat is reserved exclusively for you.
