Equipment Loss, Theft & Damage
IMPORTANT: THE BOOKING PARTY ACCEPTS RESPONSIBILITY FOR MISSING, STOLEN OR DAMAGED LIPLAB EQUIPMENT AS SET OUT BELOW.

Replacement charges may include:
- The actual replacement cost of missing or damaged items.
- Reasonable shipping and delivery costs.
- Applicable customs duties and import costs where necessary.
LiPLAB may conduct equipment checks before and after the event. Missing or damaged items will be documented and the booking party may be issued with an itemised replacement invoice, payable within 7 days.

All other LiPLAB equipment and materials must remain at the activity station.
Participant Conduct & Safety
Participants must follow all reasonable safety instructions provided by LiPLAB facilitators.
Disruptive, unsafe or inappropriate conduct that interferes with the event or compromises the safety of participants and facilitators will not be tolerated.
LiPLAB may suspend an activity or remove a participant where reasonably necessary for safety. Any refund entitlement will depend on the circumstances and applicable law.
LiPLAB is not responsible for participants’ unattended personal belongings or incidents outside its reasonable control, except where liability arises by law.
Cancellation & Refund Policy – Private Bookings
Private events require advance preparation, stock allocation, staffing and date reservations. The following cancellation terms apply, subject to reasonable charges permitted by applicable law.
- 15 days or more before the event: For bookings scheduled during August and September, a cancellation fee of 15% of the booking value may apply.
- 8–14 days before the event: Up to 50% of the booking value may be retained as a cancellation charge, where reasonable in the circumstances.
- 7 days or fewer before the event: A cancellation charge of up to the full booking value may apply, depending on preparation costs, commitments already made and the likelihood of replacing the booking.
- No-shows: Where a booked event cannot proceed because the client or participants fail to attend, reasonable cancellation charges may apply.
Cancellation charges will be assessed in accordance with applicable consumer protection legislation, taking account of the relevant circumstances.
No cancellation fee will be charged where prohibited by law.
Rescheduling
Requests to change event dates are subject to facilitator availability and must be submitted as early as possible.
- A change of date is not guaranteed.
- Additional charges may apply where LiPLAB has already incurred non-recoverable costs.
- Additional travel, staffing or stock costs may apply to the new date.
Events Beyond Our Control
Where an event cannot proceed due to circumstances reasonably beyond either party’s control, LiPLAB will endeavour to arrange an alternative date where possible.
Refunds, credits and responsibility for costs will be assessed according to the circumstances, booking agreement and applicable law.
Acceptance of Terms
By accepting a LiPLAB quotation or confirming a booking, the booking party acknowledges and accepts these Terms & Conditions, including the equipment loss, theft and replacement-cost provisions, provided these terms were made available before the booking was concluded.
2. Public Workshops – Bookings & Refunds
These terms apply to publicly advertised and ticketed LiPLAB workshops and events booked directly through LiPLAB or an authorised ticketing platform.
Workshop Inclusions
Each public lipstick-making workshop includes the ingredients, pigments, equipment and guidance needed for each participant to create one lipstick, unless otherwise specified in the event description.
The workshop generally lasts approximately 2 hours and includes:
- Selecting and mixing a personalised lipstick colour.
- Pouring the lipstick mixture into moulds.
- Approximately 30 minutes for freezing, allowing for a break.
- Demoulding and packaging the completed lipstick.
Other public workshops may have different inclusions and durations, which will be stated on the relevant event page.
Venue meals, beverages and additional purchases are excluded unless expressly included in the ticket description.
Bookings & Seat Reservations
Public workshops operate with limited available seats and require advance preparation of materials, ingredients, equipment, staffing and venue arrangements.
- A booking is confirmed once payment has been successfully received.
- Each confirmed booking reserves a place that may no longer be available for sale to another participant.
- Workshops may require a minimum number of confirmed participants, as stated on the event page.
Cancellation & Refund Policy
Due to limited seating and advance preparation, cancellations may attract reasonable charges.
- 15 days or more before the workshop: A cancellation charge of up to 50% of the ticket price may apply, where reasonable based on preparation, administration and other relevant costs.
- Less than 15 days before the workshop: A cancellation charge of up to the full ticket value may apply, where reasonable based on the circumstances.
- Same-day cancellations and no-shows: A charge of up to the full ticket price may apply where justified by the reserved seat, costs incurred and limited opportunity to resell the place.
Cancellation charges will be assessed in accordance with the Consumer Protection Act and other applicable legislation, including circumstances in which fees may not legally be charged.
Ticket Transfers & Rescheduling
- Participants who are unable to attend may transfer their ticket to another person, provided LiPLAB is notified before the workshop begins.
- Requests to transfer a booking to a future workshop date may be considered at LiPLAB’s discretion, subject to availability and any applicable costs.
- A price difference may be payable where the alternative workshop has a higher ticket price.
- Where a participant has already been granted one discretionary rescheduling, further requests may be declined, subject to applicable legal rights.
Illness & Unforeseen Circumstances
Participants should inform LiPLAB as soon as possible if illness, travel disruptions, family emergencies or other circumstances prevent attendance.
Requests for cancellation, refund or rescheduling will be considered in accordance with the booking terms and applicable consumer protection legislation, including statutory exceptions relating to death or hospitalisation.
Changes or Cancellations by LiPLAB
If LiPLAB cancels a public workshop, participants will be offered a refund or the option of transferring their booking to a suitable alternative date.
Material changes to an event will be communicated to affected participants as soon as reasonably possible.
Allergies & Safety
- Participants must inform LiPLAB of any known allergies or sensitivities to ingredients used in the workshop, including mica, nuts and beeswax products where applicable.
- Participation may not be suitable for individuals with certain allergies.
- Participants must follow facilitator instructions, particularly when handling heated equipment or cosmetic ingredients.
Participant Behaviour
Disruptive or unsafe behaviour that negatively affects other participants or the safety of the activity will not be tolerated.
LiPLAB reserves the right to remove participants where reasonably necessary for safety. Refund entitlement will depend on the circumstances and applicable law.
Nature of the Workshop
LiPLAB public workshops are recreational creative experiences and are not intended as professional training for starting a commercial cosmetic manufacturing business.
Acceptance of Terms
By purchasing a public workshop ticket, the participant acknowledges the booking conditions, limited seating arrangements, cancellation provisions and other applicable workshop terms made available before purchase.
3. Product & Equipment Returns and Refunds
This policy applies to physical products and equipment purchased from LiPLAB, including DIY kits, pigments, lipstick base ingredients, lipstick-making tools, accessories and related products.
This policy does not apply to invoices issued to event organisers for missing or damaged LiPLAB equipment.
Return Period
Customers wishing to return an unwanted product should contact LiPLAB within 7 days of delivery or collection.

- Items must be unused and unopened.
- Items must be returned in their original packaging.
- Products must be in suitable resalable condition.

These include:
- Cosmetic colour pigments and mica powders.
- Lipstick bases and cosmetic raw materials.

Damaged, Defective or Incorrect Products
Customers are encouraged to notify LiPLAB within 48 hours of delivery if an order arrives damaged, defective or incorrect, preferably with photographs.
This notification period is intended to assist with prompt resolution and does not remove statutory rights to return defective goods or claim an applicable remedy.
LiPLAB will assess the matter and arrange an appropriate repair, replacement, refund or other legally required resolution.

- Approved refunds will be processed using the original payment method where possible.
- Refund processing generally takes 5–10 working days, depending on the payment provider.
